Research paragraph

Hello :)

As part of the last task of the ISP, I decided to do my research paragraph of my favourite music band in the world, Paramore.

Paramore is an American band of pop-punk music, led by the vocalist Haley Williams with the company of Jeremy Davis (bass), Josh Farro (guitar), Zac Farro (drums) and Taylor York (rhythm guitar). The band was created in 2004 in Franklin Tennessee. They came up with the name of the band by making an arrangement from the French word Par l'amour that means secret lover. Everything began when Halley moved from Mississippi to Tennessee. In her new school she met the brothers Farro, whereas she met Jeremy in the band that Haley first was in. With the time they became friends and altogether shared their passion for the music, writing songs and doing practices. Paramore   started performing their concerts in premises and festivals as well. It was until John Janick owner of the record label Fueled by Ramen, watched them performing and decided to sign a contract with Paramore. The band's first album is "All we know is falling" launched in July 2005. It was inspired on Jeremy (bass) who abandoned the band because of personal reasons. Fortunately he returned and joined the band again after his fellows asked him to do so. Their second album is "Riot" which brought their most successful single "Misery business", moreover the album itself was certified Platinum in U.S. Finally the third and newest disc is "Brand new Eyes", certainly, the most popular so far, released on September 29, 2009. This album includes songs as “The only exception”, “Ignorance” and “Brick by boring brick”. Since then the band has been working on their 2010 touring all around the world.

Letter

Dear Dad:

Hello daddy, today November 2^nd is your birthday and regardless I’m far from home and I cannot hug you and kiss you, I want to congratulate you by this letter. You know that I been missing you through all this four months, and that it is quite strange not be there with you on your birthday celebrating eating at your favourite restaurant, or maybe having some rest at the beach. It does no matter if     this time it is just you, mum and Andres, of corse I’m aware it is your birthday. I love you so much daddy, and you know that, I’m so thankful for you being my father, for correcting my mistakes, for giving me everything, for making me laugh everyday, for loving me as I am, for supporting me, and basically for bringing me to life along with mum. You are the best father ever and also a great person, a man with good intentions thas has known to harness his life, so please I ask you to enjoy this day as much as you can. Thank you so much for giving me all what you can and even more, I can’t wait to see you. I send you thousand hugs with all my affection.

I was looking for a poem in spanish that I could use to write a paragraph explaining its meaning and I found the one that is above (the half of it), written by Damian Rojo. The theme of the poem is, the life. The translation of the title in english would be "The sense of life". What I liked from the poem is that is says that people ask themselves what is the sense of life, and the writer says that we do not have to look for it because we have it in our own toughts, soul and hearth. The sense of life is different for each person, therefore we can't put it in the hands of others. We can feel desperated for not finding out the sense of life, but we don't have to worry because at the end, the sense of life will appear by itself.

Hello :)

This time I made up a poem in order to fulfill a part of the third task for the ISP. 

This is a poem I made completely by myself and it is about the nostalgy that sometimes people can feel for things of the past that once occurred and we can miss so much.

Here is the poem:

The old times

Tonight I look at the stars

They remind me how much I miss the old times,

Oh please I want to go back

And make those moments forever last.

Memories look to be so far           

So it is like fighting in war,

For making them to come back

Before time does of them a hack.

I’m trying to convince myself

That I’m where I desire to be

Then I look to the pictures on the shelf

And I just want to stay upon my knees.

 

I only can let things go,

Ultimately life is for moving on.

Although time seems to be my foe,

It was him who brought the memories on.

It isn’t bad to feel nostalgy,

As long is does not become a hobby.

I will open my eyes to a new sky

And for the old times I know,

I must say goodbye.

Review of my favourite painting

For this post I’m writing the review of my favourite painting in the world.

I really like some paintings and I admire some because they tell me something, they have a meaning that I interpret by myself. I love impressionism paintings, especially Claude Monet’s paintings, so yes my favourite painting is one of the Monet’s paintings: “Family life at Argenteuil” (Les Coquelicots à Argenteuil, in French).

Why does this painting is my favourite in the world?, I cannot tell you a concrete answer, but I can tell you that when I see this painting I feel happy. It is just that this painting tells me: “Life is outside, go and enjoy it.” I mean, the red color of the flowers makes me feel positive, the green of the trees and the grass is so fresh that it cheers me up. The sky looks clear and pure like saying life is sweet and infinite. Finally the little girl that is picking up the red flowers accompanied by her mother, looking so freely, taking a walk by the field, they are just simply enjoying life.

I really love impressionism pictures, the way they are painted by spots or brushstrokes make them so colorful and cheerful. But definitely “Family life at Argenteuil” is my favourite painting because the message that it transmits to me makes me feel lively.

Personal short story

HI,

For the first assigment of the I.S.P I’m writting the short personal story. My story is about a Christmas dinner I had in my house.

It was three years ago in my house, when with all my mother’s relatives we were celebrating The Christmas dinner. It was a normal dinner; we were sitting near the big Christmas three, eating the typical food of the occasion, having a good time, sharing with the family. Suddenly while everybody was eating their dinner, it was quite, and we heard a really particular melody, it seemed to be from outside the house and it was like the sound of a couple of bells. They rang quite loud, but nobody knew exactly what they were. We really didn’t care too much about it. So the dinner continued normal.

Then when it was about to finish and everyone was saying goodbye, I was at the dining room helping my mother to clean up and I clearly saw how a little child, completely dressed with white clothes, jumped off from the fourth step of the stairs and left running. I was not the only one who saw the kid, some of my aunts and my grandmother also watched him. My relatives, and me we didn’t know who was he, we were sure about he wasn’t one of my little cousins, he looked different, he was a stranger, but I didn’t feel scared about him. It was Christmas after all. Days later I went to visit her, and she told me that she had investigated about what I told her hear a bell ringing means that and angel is coming.

So far, I don’t know who was that “child” I saw jumping off from my stairs, but this is a true story and I’m sure that I didn’t hallucinate it because other people saw him too. Maybe I will never figure out who was the kid, but I like the idea of that he was an angel.

5 reasons for being vegetarian :)

This time i have a post with five reasons for becoming a vegetarian  and it is just that one day i would like to do it!! at first i considered to become vegetarian because of the animals, but i searched in the internet and i found some advantages for being vegetarian, so if you have ever thought about it as i did maybe these five reasons convince you:

• You might lose weight by avoiding saturated fat in meat, butter and the animal fat used in baked goods, desserts and fried foods.

• Vegetarians have lower risk to suffer from anaemia, appendicitis, arthritis, constipation, diabetes, gallstones, gout, hypertension (high blood pressure), indigestion, haemorrhoids and varicose veins. 

• Save water. It takes one hundred times more water to produce a pound of beef than a pound of wheat. We have a growing world shortage of fresh water

• Cancer prevention. Of all the natural cancer prevention substances found: vitamin C, B-17, hydroquionenes, beta carotene, NDGA, - none has been found to be animal derived. 
• 
  
• Food costs. Vegetarian foods tend to cost less than meat based items.

For my fourth post, because it has to be about something i like or somethig that goes with my personality, i love to read, so i decided to do it about my favorite book : "It"  

Yes the Stephen's King book, the one of the mean clown who eats the children of a town in U.S. (you probably saw the movie).
I have to say that i love to read books of horror, suspense, thrillers, and stuff like that, so this book is very very good i really love it, maybe it is a little fictitious but is just that it really sacares you, i mean the author he seriously makes you feel nervous while you reading and it is the kind of book that you can't stop reading because it is completetly interesting, so i definitely recomed it.

In this post I leave you a food reciepe of a typical mexican dish which i like very much... Tacos :) and also a reciepe of a delicious sauce which you can use to accompain your tacos!

Tacos of bistec with melted cheese                                                     

• Ingredients:

1. 1 kilo of bistec (steak)
2. 1 spoon of garlic powder and onion powder 
3.  salt and as you prefer
4. Oil (as much as you need)
5. 250 grs. of manchego cheese
6. 1/2 kilo of  flour tortillas 

• Elaboration 

1. Season the steaks with a little bit of the garlic and onion powder, salt and peper.
2. Heat a portion of oil in a pan and seal the steaks for one minute by each side.
3. Put a slice of the manchego cheese over the steak and let it melt.
4. Finally heat the tortillas and put the steaks in each flour tortilla.
5. Enjoy your tacos.

Pico de gallo (sauce) 

• Ingredients:

1. 2 medium red tomatoes 
2. 1 big aguacate
3. 1/2 onion
4. 2 serrano chiles
5. 1 lemon
6. 5 cilantro branches

• Elaboration

1. Wash all the vegetables 
2. Chop all the ingredients in small squares
3. Mix all the ingredients
4. Add the lemon juice

this is my second post an i decided to do it about  something i really like to do...Dancing!
so there's a girl called Sofia Boutella, she is a professional dancer (a very good one), she was born on April 3, 1982 in Algeria, she mainly dances hip hop and street dance and well you probably never heard about her before, but maybe you could saw her in some of her Nike's t.v. commercials or maybe dancing in one of the Madonnas musical videos...
